Beauty/Hair Review: Perfect Lace by Sassy Secret

I really enjoyed this full lace wig from Sassy Secret Lace Wigs. This by far is the greatest Lace Wig Ever. I'm not the type into lace-front full wigs, I thought I might give it a try and think outside the box. I did my research on the BEST of the BEST lace wig out there. What sparked my interest about full lace wigs was make-up videos on YouTube. Video after video, I kept seeing beautiful hair! In my head I thought the hair was a sew-in or weaves I knew nothing about lace fronts, lace wigs, or the "full lace wigs", and bleached knots! Ok so I know I just used a bunch of lace wig terms you probably have no idea what I'm talking about. LOL Just go and type in lace wigs on YouTube and you too will find out.
 I was very skeptical about purchasing this lace wig because never in my life would I ever imagine wearing a Wig on my head. I wasn't sure how my husband would take to it really. I gave it a try after reading hundreds of reviews, videos, and pictures. I was convinced that this was a now or never decision for me to try this darn wig thing out.

I ordered Sabrena 18" Spanish Wave 100% Premium Indian Remy Hair $450.00 w/ tax & shipping cost + the starter kit $45.00. Yes this is by far the most I ever spent on hair but it was ALL worth it. :)

One advice I will give if you are considering a really nice Lace Wig from Sassy Secret, start off buying a synthetic lace wig. This is a huge investment and if you are not familar with installing a lace wig, you might not want to invest in this product because the hair line is very thin if you apply glue & tape in the wrong places...U might just mess up $450.00!. (Check out the Pics Below)!

By the way, the hairline is amazing! When going out in public with this wig, I felt like everybody knew it was a wig but to my surprise women from everywhere was coming up to me asking me "what kind of hair is that"?, "is this a sew-in"? "Is that your hair"? etc. I mean it was like I was wearing a discussion piece! lol

It took 7-10 business days to arrive at my house (I actually met the mail lady outside)! I was very excited about my New Sassy Secret Lace Wig. ONE REGRET>>>>I wish I would of took better care of the hair. When I ordered the wig, it came in JET BLACK and I knew I should of got a #4 in color but the picture on the website made the hair look light..False! The hair was soooo Black I dyed it brown! (1st Picture above is dyed) When dying the hair it took the texture away and made the hair feel like synthetic  hair. I was so hurt about it because I only had 4-5month wear out of it. So on that note Take Care of this hair as if it was your own! Don't sleep in the wig either, make sure you are taking care of you natural hair properly under the wig. I used the double sided tape in the front and hair clips in the back because that glue was too messy and I didn't want all the wear & tear on my edges. Trust you want to keep you Edges!

I purchase a foam head from the beauty supply store to place my wig on to keep it fresh. My favorite part about this wig was straighten the hair when wavy. I could wet the hair more for a tighter wave or I could flat iron it straight. Whatever you wanna do with this hair you Could Do It. I give this product a 9 out of 10 only because I didn't get a full use out of it. I believe I could of took better care of it.

 Do I still have the hair? Hell Yeah! lol Do I still wear the hair? Nope! I just hate the texture of it after dying it :( Will I purchase another one? Hell YEAH! BUT I will say it was much harder trying to wear this wig in the summer time because of the Heat and Sweat on your forehead! Yes, my tape and lace was lifting! lol Was not a Sexy moment but I made it work! I would recommend this company Sassy Secret because this is a good brand of hair and #1 Best Seller. I really love love this darn Lace Wig. I really love the response people gave me when I tell them it's a wig!lol

I gave the lace wigs a break after they got really Ratchet! I'm talking about the STRAIGHT LINE across Every woman Forehead! I was scared for my life if I was caught dead with a lace wig on because of the way women were wearing them. The trick to a lace wig is to make it look Natural not like a HAT! Ugh! I get so annoyed when I see them now because its all wrong and Trust Ladies, We All Know its a Lace front! So There you have it, my secret with Sassy Secret Lace Wigs! Give it a try. Do it yourself or have it installed professionally!

Planned Parenthood: One Day

This might be the hardest thing I'll ever blog about. Might be a healing thing for me to get it off my chest and express my thoughts on planning to be a mother. I can't imagine not having a mother but to possibly think you could be never become a mother is leveled out to the same grief. The fact that your womanhood won't fully be there because infertility. It's a hard pill to swallow being a young 24 year old/ newlywed. I just quicnhed when people ask "So when is the baby coming" or "Do you plan on having kids"? Ugh, I just hate it! Lol But its apart of life and I just response "Yeah, in a couple years", when really I want to scream "NO, my right ovary is F-word up"! I'm glad I can have a humor about it now, but really it's a scary thing to know your body tissues don't work like a normal human. Yet, after doing research, my condition won't lead to infertility or cancerous. Just the thought of being infertile scares me. Thank God that is not the case. I like to put this situation in perspective believing that God is preparing my body for pregnancy one day. Maybe not this year or next, but one day.

So funny because before I got married, I used to tell myself, "Nope, No Kids for Me". Now I'm married with so much time on my hands, and seeing my husband face light up when we talk about kids or "What If your son/ daughter act like you" moments. Marriage will certainly bring another side out of  you. You feel as if you want to nurture and care for everything breathing and moving around you.

I find myself reading more and more about planning for a baby/motherhood. I even told my husband today "I swear when I become a mother, I'm going to tell him or her 'do you know what I had to go though to conceive you'"!lol

I have an Amazing OB-Gyn Dr. Sherri Graf that is helping me every step of the way and I recommend everybody to her. I had some Rough ob-gyn's in the past and when I seen the ratings for Dr. Graf, I was happy to know she was Top Recommend by Most! I have so much Trust in my doctor, I Just know she is going to be the reason for our future baby. Been So crazy since I been on this journey bettering my health just planning for motherhood and future pregnancy. I love every moment of this journey because I know our child will be a 100% healthy.

I have to keep faith and win this battle. Can't help the way genetics works but I'm Blessed to be able to make a change and get healthy. One Day.

Friendship: Real Friends

Now that I'm older I start to realize that friends come and go out your life very easy. Just in that moment when you guys first met, you never thought you'll be friends "forever", now the table have turns and you are enemies. I hate that feeling when you are mad and angry with a friend and you wish you could pick up the phone to squash everything. Don't seem to work that easily, your heart is heavy thinking "wonder what so and  is up to"? Or "I wonder how so and so mother is doing"? Friends become your family and it hurts to know that you can never see them again. Why? Why can't we be friends? Why is that women can be civilized with each other? Jealousy, competitive, low self-esteem, selfish, and hateful. I could go on and on about the what cause a friendship to end. What about a friend that needs an intervention because they are addicted to alcohol and drugs? What about that friend that struggles with their sexuality? What about that friend that aways wanted to do better than you or yet try to bring you down? How do you deal with these types of friendship? Sometimes I think I have the answer but I'm not sure myself.

I started to realized that quote "You can never have Too Many Friends" is  not true! You CAN have Many Friends and you have to limit that amount Quick. In some of my own friendships, I struggle with friends that were jealous-hearted and fake. Faking the friendship is so obvious because things start to feel different and the phones call stop. I believe you can have "associates" that know of you, your lifestyle, where you live, or who you loving. But the associates don't know you mother or father name, your sister or brother name, your painful past, your favorite stuff. The associates don't know Nothing but what you Want them to know because guess what...Yall not cool like that anyways! That "stuff" in your life you call important is not important to them. Sometimes you have to be careful with the people you call "friends" because they can turn around in a heart beat and Tell All You Business! I had a friend like that and it took a Real friend to pull me over and say "hey you need to stop hanging with so and so because they putting your business out there"...Word? I thought we was "cool like that". So its true you have to limit the amount of people you share your problems, troubles and worries with.


It took for me to be at my lowest point and I seen the true colors of my friends that came around. Some faded away but in the craziest way, We grew together as sisters. How can you be close to 10 girls? Well it starts with loyalty and honesty. Although I have a Ton of friends, I got to know them on a personal level where I knew their strength and weakest. Yes we fuss and sometime fought... got a little physical but we love each other so much. I had to start being honesty with my friends, showing that I care for them. Getting together twice a month is enough for us and planning trips and events. The key to this friendship among 10 different girls is spending much time apart and checking up on each other. A lot of people can't understand why so many? Well that's where trust, honesty, and loyalty comes in. We vent to each other when times get tough. We cry with each other when times get rough. We laugh with each other when times get wild. We love one another for all times.

A friend is someone you can call on whenever you need them. A friend won't let you fall or lose ground. A friend will hold your hand through the darkest hour and the stormy weather no matter what. A friend will love you to death. A friend will call you just to say hello. Never should a friend put you down, belittle you, hate you, compete with you, or stab you in the back. A friend is going to give you their word. A promise can be kept within the friendship. A secret can be embedded in the soul for a lifetime. A friend is your world! Time will tell you who your Real friends are. Especially if you are growing in a different direction, if they are your true friends, they will Grow With You!

Beauty: Love My BH Cosmetics

Best Eyeshadow Ever!

Okay so I just had to do a Review/Blog on this eye shadow palette from http://www.bhcosmetics.com/ because it is sooooo worth the money and the quality is Great! I don't regret ever purchasing this product because it has been such a treat for me. As a beginner with makeup, I used to shop for my eyeshadow only at M.A.C. I soon realized that I was spending a lot of money on one eyeshadow. I use to pay $15 for one little M.A.C eyeshadow every so often and I just couldn't do it anymore. The colors are very vibrant and the matte colors are my favorite! I purchase my palette for $38 w/ tax and shipping. This is the 120 palette-1 and the web site offers naturals colors, matte colors, brushes, and lip gloss. This was the best investment for me, someone who love to change up eyeshadows and just to play around. I had a blast with this palette. The packaging in the mail came very nice and shipped to me less then 5-days! Check out the website because these colors are so amazing. There is even YouTube videos on this product. I get a lot of compliments from people about my eyeshadow and I thought maybe I will share my secrets with you eyeshadow lovers! Sometimes I don't have to prime my eyes with BH, so that is a plus for me when I'm on the run! BUT Priming is the Best thing to do when you want your shadows to stay on all day.

Marriage: Cooking with Love

Today has been a pretty awesome day for me. Although I took a nap for the second time but that was my fault for taking my pain meds so late! I cleaned my little apartment and did some really good cleaning in my kitchen. There is a feeling so great to me when my husband come, yes I'm talking about cleaning up before he comes home. Wifey duties* but really I  needed to clean since I'm feeling better and it takes a lot off the hubster! So Today was really funny because I usually would have a small meal prepare for Adam when he gets home from work but Adam eats and snacks at work so I knew it would of been a waste of time so off to Napville I went.

After thinking about what we should have for dinner, Adam thought maybe we should make Meatballs! Yum Yum Yum! I made Meatballs before for Adam but he was so pressed on "How should we make them"? He talked and talked about how to make them and I kept telling him "Olive Oil, Frying pan, Egg, Bread crumbs, onions, seasonings..etc. But Mr. Adam just wasn't having it so....we YouTube videos (for his curiosity) me on the other hand, was completely already aware of the steps to Meatballs.

Adam is all about everything turning out Perfect but he just wasn't so sure and I had to remind him that I cooked Meatballs for him before! lol Finally my hubster stared off into space in the kitchen and said "Maybe a Hamburger"? I looked back at him at and "no we are going to make Meatballs"!

We had all the ingredients and Yes we went to Work in that kitchen! The joy of cooking with Love was so great because I had to reassure my husband that everything was going to be okay. We just have to cook with love and make it happen!

After so many "No you doing it wrong", "wait you burning it", "that's not going to work", "Let me try it"...etc Finally everything came out Perfect! Even taste Great too! I was so pleased with the outcome!

Sometimes in a marriage you and your spouse have to come together and do Team Work. Working together and not alone is always a great way to share ideas. The communication in the kitchen can go up or down but when love is involved, everything turns out great! In this time with my Adam was the best moment we shared together because all we could do is laugh at our mistakes and cheer one another at our best. That is what I call cooking with love. Loving each other more and more each passing day, reassuring each other that everything is going to be okay knowing that we both don't cook much but we can make it a fun learning experience working together!
